Overview:

The Donahue Canyon #1-2 Lode claims is a speciality mine.  There are two portals on the claim and two shafts on the claim leading to substantial underground workings on multiple levels with numerous surface ore piles at each underground entrance location.

The jewel of this mine is a thick steel cable that runs from the bottom of the Donahue #2 claim all the way up the hill into the main portal and is anchored to the back of the working face.  Never as a prospector have I run across something so ingenious and in good working shape.

On the Donahue #2 there is a raw ore bin that the tram line would dump into that is still full of ore.  The tailings held free milling gold, and pyrite with malachite and azurite easily located.  Additionally, the surface ore piles are estimated at 4,500 tons.

Access:

Access can either be from above on Royal John Mine RD that is 2WD accessible or from below on trail #339 which is 4WD and UTV accessible.

This mine truly is one of the last of its kind.

Finance this mine with 2,125 Down and monthly payments of 282.98 for two years
