Enjoy a year round mining season on the Gallinas Canyon 002 Placer Claim. Located directly on iron creek this claim has 1,100 linear feet of creek flow thru the claim.
This claim features easy access via paved road and the railroad campground located .25 miles north of the claim. The minerals found are generally in the fine to flake form.
Portions of bedrock are exposed with a relatively shallow depth to bedrock on the deeper portions of the claim of approximately 4 feet. The bedrock is extremely wavy which creates a great mineral trap for higher concentrations of mineral to be deposited within the cracks and crevices of the bedrock.
Numerous hard rock mines have operated in close proximity to this placer claim including the Marie, Cincinnati, and other unlisted mine shafts and prospect pits.
