Overview
This claim has walk in access only, the nearest road access is 0.24 miles from the Forest Service gate to the discovery point. It should also be noted that from the paved road to the Forest Service gate is approximately 14 miles of maintained dirt road with significant elevation gain.
The area surrounding the claim has very little traffic and would be considered a remote mining claim. This claim does have a consistent small amount of water flowing thru the creek with minimal overburden to the top gravels located 1 to 2 feet underneath the topsoil. This claim was never hydraulically mined, but was mined in some spots with more rudimentary methods.
This claim also features a lode claim overlaid over the placer claim to follow the vein system trend. The vein system is predominantly made up of quartz that dips steeply and is up to 3 feet wide. The vein system hosts free gold and sulfide/oxide locked gold values. This vein does show surface expression and has small handworkings in several places along the vein system.
This would be a great claim for someone looking for a remote claim with minimal overburden and quality gold values.
